Paul Manning hands over editorial reins to Meghanne Barker and Constantine V. Nakassis

2025-01-23

Meghanne Barker and Constantine Nakassis have taken over as the new Editors-in-Chief of Semiotic Review, effective today, January 1, 2025. We are taking the reins from the exceptional Paul Manning, who has overseen the Semiotic Review for over the last decade, editing one of the most exciting and unique journals in semiotics. We are honored that Paul trusts us and look forward to continuing growing the journal. Even if Paul is stepping down as Editor-in-Chief, though, he is not leaving Semiotic Review, but will now serve as the journal's Editor-at-Large -- all the fun, none of the hassle! Please join us in thanking Paul and Kate Dougherty -- the managing editor of SR for the last decade -- for all their work for the journal!

In addition, Semiotic Review has a new editorial board and we are excited to welcome a new set of voices to the journal. (See here for the new EB.)

We have lots of great things planned, including new theme issues, new articles across a range of theme issues (Place, Animation), and a new website. More news to come!
